Jones'd!!! Eddie exits as ex-Griz with class

I thought Eddie Jones would be a good pickup in deep leagues and even grabbed him in one league, because Memphis was beginning to give him minutes. I figured they were looking to trade him to a team hungry for a shooting guard. Instead, they bought out his contract and waived him!!!!!!!!!!!

Eddie had averaged 16 points, 6 rebounds and almost 2 steals per game in his last three starts with 3 bombs per game and a shooting percentage of 60% from the field and 100% from the line.

So, either he immediately becomes a lonely and pathetic case of Sprewell-sitting-on-the-sidelines-with-no-offers or, more likely, is nabbed by a team in need of a shooting guard/small forward (Utah? Cleveland? Miami, even???) comes calling. Waiting for the other shoe to drop...
